Well, the light, and the subject, and the conditions. What I do feel strongly about is that good work comes from finding those right conditions through persistence/luck, rather than shooting any ol' thing because you can always "fix it later." So when the light really sings, the pictures come easily.
When it comes to PS, I am mostly a crop and re-size guy for my blog. I usually don't touch to much, I try to show others what I saw at the time I made the image.
But there are times my wife and I get into the artsy fartsy side of PS.
