I'm not a meteorologist, it's plain that the days are getting much longer so the sun is, at any time of day, at a different angle in the sky. Also, the temperatures are much warmer so the air can hold a lot more moisture and that also changes the quality of the light. I'm sure there are other factors I haven't thought of.

The light does have a different look to it. I'm in MN and have really noticed the change over the last month.
