This is the second shot you have posted where the spelling of 'theatre' is the UK version (ending in ..re) although I note that you used the US version ending in '...er' in the title to a previous post. Is this UK spelling something peculiar to drive-ins?
Frank, that's an interesting question. I don't know if it's a common...affectation?...but at some point will look over theater names and see if there's a pattern.
TFG, it just wasn't in the cards to manage to be there in the evening, especially since I was unable to establish any contact with the theater owners/managers and don't know the status of the neon and lights.

I would love to see that wonderful marquee in the evening with lit and animated neon.
