Convincing image, Carl - a lot of details work perfectly together to create that mood of reality in absurdum (or vice versa). I fully agree with David here.
The boards provide lines leading to infinity, providing a sense of perspective, and somehow to clouds above provide a kind of reflection of intent of reaching towards the horizon. Works well together indeed.
I think maybe you are channeling Magritte on this one.
