Hi Carl - What are Drues? Typo for drugs??
Carl, that could be a houseowner of German origin: Over here "Verboten" (= forbidden) signs were quite popular for a long time.
Tony, I tried looking it up but can't find anything. In context my guess is that it's another term for "colors"—that is, clothing items that signal gang affiliations. But that's just a guess.
