Snow Flurries
One of my favorite kinds of light is the effect you get just as it begins to rain, or just as a rain tapers off to nothing. Everything seems to take on a glow at those moments. Oddly, I haven't found the same thing to be true for the beginning or end of snow storms, but this one time something special happened to the light just as the snow flakes began to swirl.

Billboards
In late December these billboards began to show up all over the Waterbury, CT, area. I'd never seen them elsewhere, and haven't traveled enough in the last couple of weeks to know whether they can be found over a wider region. I did notice that the placements are in pretty good retail locations where the outdoor advertising firms seldom have to fill space with public service ads.
