Dawn Walk at White Memorial, 10/15/26

I planned to follow the trail around Little Pond at the White Memorial Conservation Center. About half of the trail is on a boardwalk over the swamp fed by the Bantam river, but a few hundred yards in I found the boardwalk flooded. Too deep to get past without waders. Not wanting to miss out on the dawn light I went back and began to follow the loop in the opposite direction.

About halfway around I found a section of the boardwalk not just flooded, but collapsed into the marsh. So, back again. But the dawn light was still fascinating.
