Pale Blue Wall, Torrington, Connecticut

Walls

Something about walls fascinates me. At least old walls with some history behind them. Almost anywhere I go there seem to be walls standing around, asking to be made into pictures.

Wow, I grew up in Torrington! What a surprise to see a photo from my hometown on the internet this morning! Where in Torrington did you shoot this??

Hi Chantal,

I don't know the street name, but if you walk up Main Street past the courthouse, past a large church, and take the first street going right, it's a block or two down. Stay tuned, there will be more from Torrington the next few days.

I feel the same way about old doors. There is an endless variety, they usually have a lot of character and its interesting to wonder about all of the people and circumstances that have passed through them.

I thought maybe I was a little "off", but if you're into walls, I must be OK with doors.

Carl, it's been a while since I checked out your website... I too have found walls to be of interest this past summer. While the leaves obscure the views, I've found quite a few interesting compositions staring at the walls of my local industrial park. The texture of the concrete blocks and the standpipes and conduit running beside doors and windows is great stuff. Let's see some more of yours.
