Waterbury, ConnecticutSome years ago I was surprised to find that some very nice bread available in my local grocery store came from the "Brooklyn Bakery." Brooklyn, NY, is a hundred miles south of here, and seems a bit of a stretch to supply a small IGA so far off. It turned out that the bakery was located in the Brooklyn district of Waterbury, only fifteen miles from my local store. Not many businesses, or storefronts, seem to be functional in the Brooklyn district as of March, 2009, and I have to wonder about this little portrait and wedding studio as well.
