I guess long grass is a highly visible sign meaning "for sale", as significant as the agent's board. Sad to see, as there is always a story of destroyed hopes (even if they were based on weak ground) behind this.
there is a sadness here, it looked like is was 'grand' in ITS time. Oh well, the cynic in me says that someone will pay it, knock it down, and put up a MacMansion.
Lyle, it probably won't suffer that fate. New subdivisions of McMansions have been built this far out, but Goshen is still open and rural enough that it's not likely someone will destroy a vintage house. The dynamic of land values vs value of an antique house hasn't hit that ratio yet.

All the more sad since it looks like a well-maintained vintage home that might date back to the Colonial period.
