Evening Rider

Roxbury, Connecticut

Wonderful concordance of colors here, and a quiet dynamic through the converging lines. "Quiet dynamic" might sound a contradicting, but I cannot come up with a better term: it's not dominating, pushing at the viewer, yet it's invariably there. The biker rolling soon out of the frame for sure adds to this impression. Oh, and how did you get him to wear colors matching to the landscape? Here you mostly see agressive yellow or pink along the colors of "Tour de France" sponsors.

Thanks, Markus. In fact I was there in evening light to make pictures around this particular farm as part of a commission, but the cyclist's colors were pure luck. Those colors are unusually subdued compared to what cyclists tend to wear around here, too.
