Wall

Waterbury, Connecticut

The west side of the river valley is so steep that there are many retaining walls to keep the land, and houses and streets, from sliding down into the river.

Fine Carl - that sense of movement seems to be even in the diagonals of the wine branches, and of course I love this sparse use of strong color.

Thanks, Markus. I'm working on a specific series of pictures in Waterbury. This has nothing to do with the series, but was fun to spot along the way.
