Signs of the Times—Two

Oxford, Connecticut

"Thank You" messages, manufactured and home made, have been popping up all over northwestern Connecticut. Directed at medical workers and others providing the essential services while everyone else tries to stay at, and work from, home. They're probably seen all across the country and beyond by now though I haven't seen much reporting on it.

The mutual assurance that "we will get through this together" is a second trend. The signs are on lawns in the upscale subdivisions in the hills on the west side of the Naugatuck River Valley, and in front of modest homes adjoining the town centers.

Veterinarians are operating on a pick and drop off in the parking lot basis, and this pet grooming shop is apparently doing the same on a limited basis.
