Image-wise very fine (I love that cool color set), but the pictured reality seems quite unsettling for my European eyes...

Thanks Markus. At least this complex has been cleared. The giant concrete slab was the foundation of a large manufacturing complex. This one has been cleared of dangerous and toxic waste, but all over the Naugatuck River valley there are derelict factories still standing, dangerous eyesores. The valley was a manufacturing center beginning in the days of water power, and lasting up to the middle of the twentieth century. At that point the companies began moving to the cheaper and non-union southern states, and then overseas. The area's industrial base is a shadow of its former self.
