Litchfield, Connecticut
Tapping Reeve was the first law school in the U.S. and survives today as a museum on South Street in Litchfield. Along with interactive tours and other features, for the Halloween season the lawn and meadow are home to fifty scarecrows. Each has a name and a "story" printed on a card. A rainy foggy morning seemed like an ideal time to take a tour of the grounds. Scarecrows were contributed by families, local businesses and community groups.
