Beacon Falls, Connecticut
There's a vantage point on a small road on a hillside that offers a view of the understructure of an elevated highway that I've photographed many times. This time, there was nothing special about the broad view, but in a narrow view, the contrast between the near trees leafing out and the surrounding trees both sides of the river valley and the few evergreens perched among them, was fascinating. When I turned around to go back to my car, I saw that something similar was playing out on a much tighter scale on the hillside between the north and southbound lanes of the highway.
