The cuts being made are insane, in some cases pulling funding for clinical trials already underway. Protests won't get these things reversed but it's a start.
This issue gets quite some coverage in serious media in Germany. Sometimes I get the impression that the goal is to get the U.S. back to stone age. The sad thing is that all have to suffer, even those that did not vote for him.

Bitter that this needs a protest. But then, extrapolating covid experiences, this is just consequential
