Tesla Takedown, 3/29/25

Mt. Kisco, New York

Having learned that protest demonstrations were planned at Tesla dealerships around the country on March 29th, a search showed one planned for 1:00 PM at 115 Kisco Ave. in Mt. Kisco, New York, about an hour's drive away. When I got to the address at about twelve-fifteen I was surprised to see a large crowd of obviously pro-Trump/Tesla/Musk demonstrators with noise makers, placards, and a large panel truck with jobotron screens on three sides. All on street parking spaces were taken so I had to drive past, but I found parking on a quiet residential street about half a mile away. When I'd walked back, at about half past twelve, the crowd was still there but some Tesla Takedown participants had also showed up. By one o'clock, the Takedown crowd was larger than the pro Trump group and soon was two or three times as big. Several people were acting as monitors, trying to establish boundaries to keep the two groups out of direct contact with each other.

The pro-Trump demonstration seemed to be a weekly Saturday morning event that happened to overlap with the organized nationwide March 29th protests. It was interesting to hear people on both sides saying that the others were paid actors, paid for by "Soros" or Trump/Musk.
