These pictures of Cape Cod reminded me strongly of the atlantic coast in the southwest of France. I get this feeling of a pure environment of sand, water, air and some plants like pines.
I've never been to France so can't compare, but Cape Cod's beauty is very much of the "stark" variety. It is nothing but a big sandbar sticking out into the Atlantic. There's just the ocean, the beach and dunes. The hills of the narrow interior are covered in brush, scrub, and the occassional pine tree of a stunted mature height. I'll see if I have a picture from the interior and add it to the post.
