Carl, sometimes you take the most forlorn looking images. When I see one of yours that I like I'm always remind of the shot you took of the three different people, all on cell phones and each apparently unaware of the others presence. A very powerful image.
"Forlorn" is an interesting condition. It's a state that has inspired poets, not to mention the entire music form of The Blues, so why not explore it a bit with photography? If some of my pictures strike you that way, I'll take that as making a successful connection. Maybe it just goes back to my having been an only child...
Yes, that reclusiveness is really striking in this picture. I guess it is strengthened through the shape of the boxes with their legs, so they really look like two forgotten, petrified humans. Strong.
