Woodbury, Connecticut Early this morning while getting the lab ready for printing, I was delighted to see a wild turkey hen working her way up the path from the barn. Better yet, it became clear she was surrounded by a clutch of at least five chicks. They worked their way up to the house and then up the hill in back. Aside from being fun to observe, turkeys are very welcome guests because they have a ravenous appetite for noxious insects like deer ticks.
