Carl, I used to be a bus driver in a former life. I can tell you why the bus is parked up against the pole. It's so folks can't get into the engine compartment and cut belts or cause other issues.

I've been in several places in which I parked in a similar manner.

Ryan, that's interesting. This is one end of a large area that's a depot, parking, and maintenance facility for a charter bus line. There are often up to a dozen shiny, obviously in-service buses parked here, along with others like this one that seem to be mothballed or waiting for major servicing.
