Looks like wonderland! Got your exercise this morning? :-)

Yeah, I've been on a fitness regimen for months now, 4-6 mile walk at fast pace every day. The only exception allowed is if I have to shovel the driveway...

Wow. Flowers are out in profusion here. But I do miss real snow. How long is this cover expected to last?

It was above freezing in the daytime yesterday, so cleared pavement was OK shortly after the snow stopped. Still several inches on the ground. It's supposed to be warmer for the next four or five days so that might melt it.

To change the subject a bit, Carl, have you found a paper that you like to print such high key images? (Lovely, by the way)

Lyle, for the Z3200 my two mainstay papers are: HP Professional Satin, and Red River Aurora (recently switched from Hawk Mountain because they closed up shop). For these shots I'd probably choose the Aurora, which is a fairly heavy (250gsm) matte cotton 'fine art' material. For the more typical pictures posted here I would likely use the satin. So far I've done two real-prints exhibits of pictures from this blog, and both times I printed on Pro Satin.

While I don't use digital printing to imitate earlier processes, let's say that prints on a good matte paper have an affinity with the platinum print tradition, while "photo media," and in particular Pro Satin in the Z3200, (smoothest print surface I've ever seen, but without shiny gloss) is in the tradition of b&w silver prints or dye transfer color (which used the same "F surface" gelatin/baryta paper stock as fiber-base silver prints).
