Dam Sign

New Milford, Connecticut 

Walking along Young's Field Road beside the Housatonic River I noticed this sign stationed at the frozen over boat ramp. It took a couple seconds to realize that it was a warning of a dam in the river. Next, I realized why I didn't get it immediately—the sign is backwards. The river flows north to south, right to left looking at the picture. The sign shows the river flowing the other way. It seems to me if you're going to post signs like this, you ought to have two versions so the dam is in the right orientation.
