Two Flags and a Refrigerator

Winsted, Connecticut

Seen a few minutes, and just a block or so, apart. While I'm usually drawn to soft lighting conditions and overcast or cloudy skies, now and then it's interesting to explore the look of things under full sunlight. Familiar places can take on a new character.

I like the old refrigerator in the shop and the new box outside , like a trip to the Twilight Zone!

Robert, yes, the old fridge with the round radiator on top has a kind of anthropo-robotic look to begin with.

The old timer looking at his youthful replacement, and the story unfolds from there, cue Rod Serling.

"The old timer looking at his youthful replacement" - yes, that's what triggered some neurons back in my head. Here in a german newspaper we had a loose collection of stories where a man talks with his old fridge, the latter always afraid that he might get replaced.
