Morning Fog

Woodbury, Connecticut

It was so warm overnight that a pretty thick fog rose in the morning after the all day rain yesterday. Later in the afternoon the temperature broke 70° F for the first time since, well, whenever last fall.

This is a mood that I am missing over here at the moment: it has been so dry that there is no chance for any fog adding some misty magic to the landscape. The soft grey here makes the colorful dots of the flowers so much more desireable than any blue sky could ever do.

Markus, yes, there's nothing like soft light and damp conditions to bring out the richness of natural colors.
