Torrington, Connecticut

In the Waterbury Republican American newspaper, they say that like it's a bad thing.

Too good to be true... I my eyes - and probably the eyes of most of these cowardly Europeans - capital punishment is really a barbarian relict.

Relict indeed... (or a case of human beings playing God.) By the way, I noticed the words "holy cross" in the "Extra Frames" item on the page.

Juha, HC is a private Catholic primary school in Waterbury.

@Carl: I wonder how one's world view would change if one started to read this newspaper, and nothing else...

Juha, this is very much to the point. There is a nationwide phenomenon parallel to this. More people do their "news" consumption at Fox than any other single source. Not long ago a survey questioned people about their knowledge of what in my day was called Current Events in elementary school. Consumers of Fox were less knowledgeable than people who did not regularly consume any news media at all. The Fox viewers "knew" all about everything, but most of what they knew wasn't so.
