The Number, Revealed?

Waterbury, Connecticut

The same stencil, this time clear enough to get a good idea of the number, though I don't know what it signifies.

What's Google for, if not for this. Please, Google, what is "12212012"? Apparently, the Mayan Prophecy.

Quite easy for the disciples of the Mayan calendar: 12/21/2012 marks the end of the world for those who want to believe in it.

End-of-times prophets are in high esteem it seems, and if only to deflect from the sad fact of our negligence of our planet.

I really feel stupid right now ... I was constantly thinking what the number might be and what it might signify ... but on the other hand ... prophesies ... end of the world ... not my cup of tea at all ...

Martina, me too, but I had a little back of the mind thought that this could be it. But what the...heck...does a Jesus image have to do with Mayan end times? Maybe he'll ride in on the The Lone Ranger's Silver.---Carl

What does Jesus have to do with the Mayans? Perhaps you forget - some people actually prefer not to be logical. Including some people seeking high office (grin).

Even in the highest and best-read culture there has never been any difficulty in (for example) mingling Christian alongside ancient Greek and Roman mythologies.

Everything comes together and makes perfect mystical sense, if you merely learn to ignore all internal contradictions, as well as all external evidence to the contrary. And this is not hard to do, if validated by others around you.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine :)
