I like those times when the sun is shining where you are, but the clouds are dark on the horizon. In SC, it mostly happens after an afternoon thunderstorm. Storms go from west to east here, and when they clear you have a nice dark eastern sky.
Talk about composing a picture to lead the eye to things of interest. In this one, the eye reads a sign, crosses the street where the zebra approves, and continues down the street outside of the frame to the second flag. Quite an exercise!
