Selling tags? Um? Selling tags with the help of tags? Strange Land ;-)

Tina tells me the Brits say "jumble sale" but I have no idea what it would be in German.

You put all the junk that you realize you no longer (if ever) have any use for out in front of your house with a big sign. You put tags saying $5, or $80, or whatever. Then, miraculously, cars screech to a halt, block the thoroughfare for other weekend drivers, and people leap out looking to buy. I've never understood it. These people buy this crap, and a few years later, they hold a tag sale to get rid of it....

Ah, this is a concept unknown in Germany (Markus or some other German readers may correct me, but garage sales, jumble sales, tage sales - I don't think I ever saw this around here. Not as a traditional measurement of getting rid of your stuff at least ...).

Ha, I think I would be photographing the tags if I would encounter a tag sale ;-)
