Starview Drive-in Theater

Norwalk, Ohio

After a couple of hours at the Tri-Way, waiting for early morning fog to lift enough for shooting, I headed east across Indiana and into Ohio. I wound up in a severe storm system just before reacing the Starview theater. But just as I got there the storm broke and made for really interesting shooting conditions.

Fine weather for this subject - the reflections and the coloring of the wet surfaces make these images very attractive for my eyes.

Thanks, Markus. I was lucky on this trip. Ordinarily I like overcast and stormy weather, but bright sun and clear sky tend to be better for this subject matter. For most of the trip I had perfect bright, clear conditions. But no less that four different times I got to a theater under heavy overcast or stormy skies, only to have the sun break through with dramatic light. Kind of a charmed twelve days.
