After six days plus, the power finally came back on this morning. As of yesterday the outage maps showed just 32 customers in Woodbury still without service—including us. The boiler is bringing the house temperature up now, but from past experience I know it's going to take a couple days for the house to return to normal. Heating up the air happens quickly, but then everything in the house—the structure itself, furniture, clothing, all of it—just sucks up that heat as quickly as it arrives until everything finally stabilizes in the upper sixties. In particular my printer, which is never, ever, supposed to be turned off at all, has now been stone cold for all these days. I don't dare crank it up until the mechanism, the inks, all of that stuff is back up to a semblance of normal operating temperature, so I've got an electric heater placed directly under it, gently warming the 120+ pounds of machinery.
It will likely be several days before I can begin regular postings here or am able to move forward on the Kickstarter Rewards production.
