Wow, you have a lot more political action there than we do down here in SC. I haven't heard of any similar demonstrations here. More grist for your pictures in public mill.
David, there are "solidarity with Wisconsin" rallies in *every* state capital today, 2/26/11, at noon. Every single state capital including SC and dozens of other important non-capital cities. Check this page and plug in your zip code to find the nearest to you:
Carl, SC (where we have friends and used their address for a while) is pretty solid Republican country, especially on the coast, with a retiree and military population. The capital, Columbia, is way inland in the pine forests. I still get Sierra Club mailings from the coast, though, so there is hope.
