At the Gallery

New Haven, Connecticut

One up side of having to drive to New Haven every so often for a doctor's appointment is that it's a short walk to the Yale University Art Gallery, and the Yale Center for British Art. The British was closed for renovations on Wednesday, but across the street, the recently renovated University Gallery was open. It's the first time Tina and I have been down there since the exhibition space was greatly expanded. The rooms are beautifully finished and the displays make excellent use of the space with a luxurious, uncrowded feeling throughout. The collection is of course superb.

Utility Lines and Poles

Hartford, Connecticut

A gloomy April 1st in Hartford. I expected storms to break out at any moment, but they never did. The dark heavy light was fascinating.

Some additional information in the form of a shot from the other end of the construction site, in response to a question in comments.  My guess is the first shot shows the foundation going in for a multi-storey parking garage adjacent to the restored/repurposed factory building. Maybe I can find something out online.
