At the Parade

New Haven, Connecticut

New Haven held its 183rd St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 15. The weather wasn't very cooperative—heavy overcast, 40°F with a lot of wind so everyone was bundled up. As has happened with other parades I find I get some of the most interesting pictures beforehand, in the staging areas before the parade begins. After that I'm mainly interesting in seeing interactions between the spectators and the marchers.

Memorial Day Parade,5/25/25

Waterbury, Connecticut

The parade last weekend was shorter than ones I've been to in past years, but what really struck me was that the crowd of specators was much more sparce than I've seen before. Also, it seemed like every other person was making phone videos of the parade instead of just looking directly at the marchers.
