Hartford, Connecticut

A winter storm was coming in, but in fact moving south of the predicted course so the sky remained threatening all day without actually doing anything beyond some light snow flurries and some drizzle. The heavy light and damp surfaces made for some unusual colors and textures.

I really like the bottom photo for some reason.

Don, it might be that the light and color and mood dominate over any interest the subject matter might generate. The colors of the green mold growing on the bark and the stonework was fascinating in the heavy light. It was also so weird in color that I did a WhiBal record frame to have a "literally accurate" color interpretation available. That was important to recapturing the mood of the scene.
