Early spring and early fall are my favorite times for the forests around here and I'm lucky to have an extensive forest reserve just a few miles away. This year though, fall seems to be strangely brief. Stranger still, the different species of trees are turning colors in an unusual sequence, out of the usual order.

Similar observations here. The leaves seem to dry faster than to change colors and sometimes fall down completely green.

Your light forest scene is really inviting - the ideal place to stroll with kids.
