WAX ME GRIND ME

Hartford, Connecticut

OK, there's some ambiguity to the meaning(s) of the graffiti here. However, a close look at the little stickers shows they advertise the EightSixty Skate Shop. Does proper maintenance of skates involve waxing and grinding?

you grind for sharpening and putting a proper radius on the blade. in the old days, some folks used to wax the leather, but i don't think skates today use much leather. maybe this shop also does skis where waxing and grinding is regularly done???

Cheers!
