For several years now I've donated my services to The Washington Friends of Music to cover their concerts with The New Baroque Soloists, making pictures for their website and publicity distribution to local papers. This afternoon before showtime I was at the front of the classic New England Meeting House/Church where the concerts are held, getting a couple white balance readings and moving electric cords and other distractions out of sight for my pre-planned shooting positions. Cellist Samuel Magill was going over sections of his upcoming duet with keyboardist Ben Woodward, and I made this shot, sort of on sheer reflex. Just one frame. But I like it.
