Still at the Library

Woodbury, Connecticut

Yesterday afternoon we visited friends near the town center who have power, so we could have showers and sit around in a heated living room with them for a while. When we left for home, lights were on much farther out our road than before. Half a mile short of our house, we saw a long line of utility trucks coming the other way. Leaving, that is. The houses continued to be lit up—as far as two houses before ours. Still in the dark, 47.4 degrees in the kitchen this morning.

Here's what it looked like behind the cottage yesterday after a long session with the chain saw:

How's the woodpile coming along?

Too busy just getting the stuff down onto the ground to begin piling anything up yet.

Perhaps you get to meet interesting neighbors at the Library. At least they have power. Careful with that chain saw! It's a dangerous tool and should be used with helmet, face shield, and chaps. Thanks for continuing to post pictures during these trying times.
