Okaaay. Stay inside. Keep warm. Have a something of an adult beverage tonight. Hopefully you don't have to go outside today. This photo really puts me in some December mood.
Well, don't have to go outside now. But spent time this afternoon prepping the darkroom for winter. After draining the plumbing lines at their petcocks in the basement of the main house (the darkroom is a former office that extends at the side, which is why it is too inefficient to heat) but then I had to set up my compressor and make the air-to-plumbing connections to really blow the lines clear. Working "indoors" without heat somehow feels colder than working outdoors in the cold.
Meanwhile, the lights are already flickering and the web site of the power utility is showing lots of outage areas already. Very wet, heavy snow. I better send this before the router goes offline.
Carl, We had some snow here in Virginia last night in the higher elevations. No snow at home, but I drove up into the mountains this afternoon and ran into about 3 inches of heavy, wet snow. Very unusual for this area in October.
Hope your lights stay on and you have a snug evening.
I hope you got your power back. We were lucky in the SE part of the state. We had a little snow, but mostly rain. Never lost our power. Hope all is well.

No, Carl, I really do not envy you for snow already in October - brrrr! Martina is definitely right about the December mood.
