Red certainly does grab the eyes, though of course that can either help or hurt. Here, a dark blue or green shirt on the kid would have made him disappear. A yellow shirt would stand out, but it wouldn't echo the stop sign. This is one of the things I love about photographs that are *found* rather than set up.

I've always thought National Geographic photographers gave out red tee shirts to the natives. Are you sure you didn't do that?
