Mansfield, Ohio
The central city square of Mansfield (see this earlier post) looks prosperous and well-kept, but this long-empty lot is just a block away from that central square. Go farther toward the edges of town and there are vast mills and factories that are anywhere from vacant to crumbling, with not a lot of urban renewal in evidence. All is not well in the heartland.
