The Randall Drive-in Theater

Bethel, Vermont

Despite the somewhat distressed look of the screen, this smallest drive-in theater in Vermont is open on weekends, showing current double features. This picture was done early on a hazy August morning as the sun was just breaking through rising fog.

I like the exotic shape of the screen. Doe they flash subtitles or the frequency for the audio track at the very top?

Where are you headed on your DI expedition?

Scott, I think it's just in need of some maintenance.

This trip will be across northern Ohio and around Michigan. I'm in touch with a number of active, operational theaters that I'll visit. Of course by traveling back roads when possible I'll hope to encounter some ruins as well. Ohio has the more operational drive-ins than any other state, but of course also a huge number theaters that have gone dark.
